I don't really know anything about abstract painting, but once and awhile I do these "from the gut" paintings. Everything from the colors to composition I just go with my gut feeling where and what it should be. And today I just really wanted to paint on a box, even though I have canvas. I just really like the idea of taking one thing and making it in to something new. Yeah recycling!
The green on white goes really well. I think the red ribbon steals some attention from the original texture.
